In 2014, Yoma Ma and Elyse Yip—an inspired partnership of a graphic designer and an artist — launched Broken Fingers, initially envisioned as a high-quality and niche leather goods brand. After 8 years, Yoma came to the realization that the brand's authentic mission went beyond merely selling products; it was about empowering the artisans who meticulously crafted each item and infusing their work with meaning and purpose.
